Based on the success of the BeenThere service, allowing people to "put themselves in the picture", we are developing free standing BeenThere kiosks for tourist venues. At the moment, this is restricted to the Cape Town area.
HOW DOES IT WORK?

Visitors stand in front of the BeenThere camera installation at your venue, position themselves by looking at the viewfinder displayed on the screen and push the button to take their picture. Behind the scenes the system uploads the images to www.BeenThere.tv so that visitors can download, print and share their pictures when they get home.
WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOUR VISITORS?
  • The service is completely free for visitors to use and there is no cost to take pictures or download the pictures from the website.
  • There is no limit to the number of pictures that can be taken.
  • It gives visitors a great personal momento of their visit.
  • The images are of a high quality, typically taken at 5 megapixels and then compressed by the software.to approximately 250kb.
  • The system is very easy to operate – there is a single button that the visitor pushes to activate the system.
  • Images can be uploaded in real time and are then normally available on the site within a minute after they have been taken. Visitors can let their friends know about their pictures before they even leave the venue!
WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOUR VENUE?
  • The software automatically overlays your brand image on pictures. The overlay image can be as simple or complicated as required.
  • The landing page can be customised so that visitors who come to get their online pictures will be further exposed to your marketing message.
  • On the landing page, visitors can be drawn into your own online campaigns – For example, a teaser to register on your site in exchange for entry into a draw.
  • On the website, images from your brand could end up in BeenThere.tv. public albums, e.g. “Funny pictures”. People who are looking at these albums will then be exposed to your brand as well.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
For a fixed monthly rental fee you get
  • A contained, self-enclosed BeenThere kiosk with the camera, screen and and computer. Visitors just press a button to take their picture.
  • A free frame which includes your brand. More can be made on request, or supply your own.
  • Your own home page, e.g. www.BeenThere.tv/YOURNAME where visitors go to find their pictures. To see an example, go to www.beenthere.tv/Aquarium.
